Jean-Louis Tribouley is an esteemed winemaker based in Latour-de-France, a small village in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of southern France. After gaining experience with winemaker Gérard Gauby in 2001, Tribouley established his own 10.5-hectare estate in 2002.

Since the beginning  he focused on organic farming, producing natural wines from local grapes Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Macabeu, and Grenache Gris. All from vines that are up to 60 years old, on rocky soils made up of schist and gneiss.

The particularity of these schists in this region is that, instead of lying horizontally, they lie vertically due to ancient geological shifts. This allows the vines to grow deeper and improves drainage. We find his wines to be perfect examples of terroir-driven purity, balance, and minerality.
